The Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID) is recruiting a copy editor for its fact-checking project, Dubawa. The successful applicant will proofread, liaise with factcheckers and write clear, concise and engaging copies for online medium.
CJID is a nonprofit founded to promote an independent media landscape that advances fundamental human rights, good governance and accountability in West Africa through investigative journalism, open data and civic technology.

Requirement
- Minimum of two years of experience working in a similar role.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language
3. Good judgement in applying Dubawa style
4. Basic knowledge of legal issues involved in publishing such as libel and plagiarism.
