Paradigm Initiative (PIN) is accepting essays on the topic Are social and cultural norms in Africa impeding the realization of digital rights and inclusion? as part of its PIN at 15 celebration.

The listed prizes for winners in the competition include, an all-expenses paid trip to Zimbabwe, a brand new laptop set at the PIN festival and many more.

PIN is a civil society organisation (CSO) that works to connect underserved young Africans with digital opportunities, and ensures protection of their rights online.

Closing date: 30 June 2022.


  1. Participants must be between the ages of 18 and 25
  2. The essay competition is open to only Africans who currently reside in Africa.
  3. The essay should not be more than 1500 words.
