The Africa Report is looking for an experienced sub-editor to engage in subbing and proofing articles to a consistently high standard and in respect of The Africa Report’s house style and voice.
The sub-editor will be expected to upload contents to the content management system and social media channels, ensure all articles published follow SEO best practice, factcheck meticulously to ensure accuracy across all published content.
The Africa Report is a pan African magazine that produces news and analysis on politics, business and culture in Africa. The Africa Report is published by Jeune Afrique Media Group (JAMG).

Location: Remote, Africa
Remuneration: €35-40k (dependent on experience)
Requirements
- Candidate should posses at least five years of editing experience.
2. Critical thinker and a deep interest in words.
3. Detail-oriented wordsmith who can edit copy quickly and cleanly.
4. Ability to factcheck thoroughly and ensure consistency of editorial voice.
